Nasty virus out in wild

I don’t often issue warning emails about current virus’s, however I must warn you about the following extremely dangerous one which is in the wild at present and is a particularly nasty one. It is vitally important that you do not open any of the attachments in these emails which state the following below. Obviously this can change format over the coming weeks to different companies but these are the main culprits at present. The payload comes in the form of a zip file attachment and will disable your firewall and let in all forms of virus and spyware. Please make sure that your virus scanners are up to date and functioning correctly. AVG Free 8

Ok AVG free 8 now seems to be fixed and working correctly. You can download it from AVG 8 Free I’m running it on my PC without any problems, however I must tell you the way to install it so that it works correctly.

1. Download from the above link.
2. Uninstall your previous antiviral program
3. Reboot yr PC
4. Then install AVG8 and choose “Custom” install
5. When given the option make sure you untick safesearch or linkscanner option
6. Click next and next again untill the program installs
7. Once installed it will start the set up wizard
8. Un tick the scan everyday at 12.00
9. Then click yes you are sure and carry on clicking next
10. The program will update via Internet and you will be protected

Avg anti virus updated

Don’t often post that much lately but just wanted to put a message on about AVG free. The current program 7.5 free is being withdrawn after December 2008. This means the program wont be updated anymore, however the updates for the virus definitions will continue up till December. You may get pop ups on your PC which say upgrade to AVG 8 for £39 however there is no need to pay as there is a new free AVG 8 version out which can be downloaded from AVG 8 Free . The program at present does not seem to be as good as the previous one therefore I would suggest waiting and ignoring the pop ups for now. If you want to try another free virus program which I can highly recommend  then go for Avast home edition. This can be downloaded  at AVAST Free and is currently the one I’m using and installing on all PCs now.

Well over the past weekend I’ve been receiving loads of text jokes from my pal Mr Close! He must have a text unlimited contract on his phone cause they have been coming in thick and fast. Some absolute crackers too, obviously some i cant repeat on here! There superb though. Really brightened my weekend up. Trouble is I have ran out of space on my phone to store them all, sony ericisson seem to give you a poxy amount of space to store your messages but not to worry!

Aint it great when people don’t believe you!? Especially the ones that you expect to, like your friends and lovers! It dont matter how hard you try to explain yrself you know your just waisting your time in the long run. Thats how I feel now. Hard to explain but my “so called” best fried has given me this dilemma and Im pretty sick of it now!!!!

   So I wont say any more as its a total pisser!!

Still Alive

Hi to the few people that read this blog. Just wanted to let you know that Im still alive. Haven’t been myself lately and dont know who Ive been!! Lots of shit has happened since my last posting! Most will know but for the others that dont heres a brief run down without saying too much! Bloke that attacked me end of March got a conditional discharge from the courts!!! “Allegedly” his forth in as many years but I cant comment on it! although I can say that I was extremely upset by this and the crappy newspaper report which was so one sided and apparently so were everyone else! So there! My solicitor has informed to not say anymore so I wont….

Received some awful news about someone I used to look after at the “Hub” Someone who was in my eyes a success story was murdered by a group of mindless thugs. This news really upset me and since then I feel like I have  been on the inward spiral of my manic depressive state. I will bounce back, stronger and happier soon. Its all day to day stuff and helped with the medication..

And prior to that!!!! I decided to decorate the house, great idea it was at the time 3 or 4 years ago! but with a bit of time on my hands and a nagging wife I decided to do it! Great time was had and I eventually ended up with sciatica which is the most painful thing I have ever had in my life. I went to see my Osteopath who helped me after the vicious physical attack and he said he knew he would see me again for my back this time because of the extreme pressure that was inflicted on my chest at the time of the attack. It was just a matter of time before my back gave in! And did it not give in! Bloody pain was awful, I was bed ridden for over a week and it is still affecting me after 2 months!  If you have never experienced sciatica then let me tell you this YOU DONT WANT TOO!!! 

Other stuff that has been going on, my Mum and her husband who both are globe trekkers as in he works for oil companies round the world, have finally relocated back home to planet Crumlington! They had been living the life in Houston USA for the past 5 years when a good job came up in Spain, which turned into a awful job so a job came up in Paris and well lets just say they are back home and fly back and forth when needed! Still its great to have them both back in good old Blighty!!

Shopping and "Social Training" day!

Well I’ve done my “Social Training” and shop today! Some good bargains I found at the shop but I wont boar you with the details!!! Looks like time is running out on me smoking too, I’m down to my last few packets and I always said I would stop when the time was right and no body else smoked in the pub!! Looks like I’ve got to eat my words now with this smoke ban. The smoking “Hutch” outside the pub is great but I don’t think I could muster it during the winter! Its bad enough with the British weather we are having at the minute, rain , rain , and more rain.  Still im prepared I have all the patches and shite to do it apart from the will power, looks like hitting 40 will mean I will get fat but who’s bothered eh.. I may back track too cause I have myself a get out clause!!! Hehehehe

Smoking Ban

Well as you all know I’m a smoker and I enjoy smoke! Sorry but I do, there is nothing more satisfying than a smoke and a drink!!! The world is a funny place. However we have a good pub where the manager likes a tab so they have built us a nice smoking hutch! within the rules of this shity country!!! Obviously my concern will be when the weather turns cold and winter comes in, this is where the pubs will notice a drop in profits as people decide to stay at home with there friends who also smoke. Cheaper nites for all!! 

Anyway life is ok at the minute, well as much as it can be! The occ health visit last week was a total nightmare not only have I been physically abused but have been mentally abused too. Still I’m here….

Sorry if the updates have been few and far between but I will make more of an effort  so keep checking back
